chocolate lovers pay close attention. Although these have Nutella in them, the taste of Nutella in the cookie wasn't strong. I will probably add 1/4 tsp-1/2 tsp next time of hazelnut extract to give it more of a Nutella taste! They were still amazingly good if you are in need of a chocolate fix!
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder (I used cornstarch to make them softer and more chewy)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
8 T. unsalted butter, room temperature
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. light brown sugar
2/3 c. Nutella
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
3/4 c. chocolate chips
Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and set aside.
Cream together butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in Nutella and vanilla extract. Mix in egg. Add flour mixture and mix until
just incorporated. Add chocolate chips. Refrigerate dough for approximately one
hour.
Drop approximately one tablespoon of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheets.
Bake at 350 for about 11 minutes until the edges look set. Cool on baking sheet
for 5 minutes then carefully remove to cooling racks. Such yummy chocolatey goodness!
