Orange Julius

 2 C Orange Juice
1 C Whole Milk
1/3 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk*
1 tsp Vanilla
2-4 C Ice
Place all ingredients in blender. Mix until your desired consistency is reached. This is one of Koen's favorites!

* you can add 1/2 C sugar instead of sweetened condensed milk, but it will make it a bit gritty, and I don't like that.

Raspberry Dream

 1 Can (12 oz/ 1 1/2 C) Dr. Pepper
1 TBsp Gourmet Cream of Coconut
2 TBsp Raspberry Syrup
Ice

This. is. amazing! You might need to get the ratio of sweet right for you. I think that this is just right, but if you want it a bit sweeter add more cream and raspberry syrup.

Tropical Strawberry Paradise

 1 C Sprite
1 TBsp Strawberry Purée
1 TBsp Coconut Syrup

1 TBsp Heavy Whipping Cream (Optional)

Ice

Mix all together. This one can also be used in water instead of Sprite for a yummy flavored water. When I mix it with Sprite, I like the cream, when I mix it with water I don’t like the cream with it.

Fuzzy Dr

1C Dr Pepper

2 TBsp Peach Fruit Purée

1 TBsp Coconut Cream Coffee Creamer

ice

Fill a cup with ice, put in your fruit and coconut cream then add your Dr Pepper. Yum! I get this one at the Soda Barn all the time.

Chocolate Base Protein Smoothie

Berry Base Protein Smoothie

This is a pretty flexible base when making a fruit protein smooth. The consistency of your smoothie will change with different sizes of fruits, and the type of your blender. This is just a base ratio

2 C Apple Juice or Orange or Pomegranate- not from concentrate
3 C Frozen Fruit (we usually do 1-2 C Strawberries, and 1-2 C Peaches)
1-2 C Spinach or Kale
1-2 Scoops Vanilla Protein
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp salt

Optional:
1 TBsp Agave or Honey

Blend until desired consistency.

Other fruits we have used:
Pineapple
Banana
Watermelon

Blueberries
Dark Cherries
Açaí packets
Goji berries (these are dried not frozen)

Turtle Cookies

1 ¼ cups all purpose flour
¼ cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips regular or mini size
½ cup chopped caramel squares use a knife to cut into small pieces
½ cup chopped pecans
Method:Cut the caramel squares into small pieces with a knife.-Combine the chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and caramel pieces in a bowl, mix. Reserve 1/2 cup for the outside of the cookie dough balls.
- Preheat the oven to 350º F. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat. -In a small bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.- In a mixing bowl cream the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until fluffy, 1 minute. Add in the egg and vanilla, beat again. Add the flour mixture and the add ins (minus the 1/2 cup you're reserving) to the wet mixture, mix with a spatula (or on low with a mixer) just until everything is combined- Use a cookie scoop to form dough balls. Press the 1/2 cup of add-ins on the outside of the dough balls. This is optional but I like the way the cookies look when you can see the chocolate chips, caramel puddles and pecans on top.- Place the cookies 3 inches apart on a silicone lined baking sheet and bake for 10-14 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the sheet for 10 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.
Notes
For the cookies in the photos, the dough balls were about 3 tbsp, so that’s a large cookie! I baked those for 12-14 minutes – just until the edge of the cookie would begin to look puffy. The result is a soft & chewy chocolate caramel pecan cookie!
If you make smaller dough balls, you should reduce the baking time otherwise the cookies will be over done.
